We offer a unique, integrated program for the recovery of facial function following paralysis due to Bell's Palsy, Ramsey-Hunt Syndrome, Acoustic Neuroma, trauma or other causes. We are able to restore facial function and symmetry through the combination of Integrative Manual Therapy, Biofeedback and Neuromuscular Re-education. While early intervention achieves optimal outcomes, improvement is possible in even longstanding cases of paralysis.
Using an IMT approach we can identify the barriers to recovery of facial function and facilitate healing of the damaged facial nerve. As the nerve function is restored, facial re-education is critical in regaining optimal facial symmetry and expression. Biofeedback provides an essential tool to reprogram the neuromuscular pathway and achieve desired outcomes.
